Venture capitalist and one of the best-known voices in tech investing. Grew up in Sri Lanka and Canada, joined Facebook early, and as VP of Growth helped drive the platform to more than a billion users. Later founded Social Capital with the ambition of modernizing venture capital as a discipline.
Known for clear and often contrarian positions: he warned early about collapsing software multiples under real AGI, took the quantum risk to Bitcoin seriously before it was fashionable, and argued that a SpaceX IPO could reorder technology valuations.
The AGI Pricing Paradox
His strongest argument is simple: the market cannot simultaneously price software companies as if their moats are durable and AI labs as if AGI destroys those moats. One of those bets must be wrong.
